"The DNS server isn't responding" and Less FPS in games after upgrading to windows 8.1

Hey guys,

I know this is a common problem but the problem is what the title says, only for a few minutes. Ever since I upgraded to windows 8.1, I have been utterly disappointed with the performance of my laptop.

Few specifications of my laptop;

MSI GX70

A10 elite quad core processor

Killer E2200 LAN

AMD Radeon HD  8970M/2GB GDDR5

16gb Memory (8x2gb @ 1600mhz).

So I read reviews online about windows 8.1, some said it was good and some said bad, I risked it and hated my decision.

Issue# 1 - Ever since updating to windows 8.1, I've been getting less fps in World of Warcraft and general PC lag. My laptop is about 1.5 months old and cannot experience the normal adding more stuff lag so soon. Have upgraded the graphics card driver still no help.

Issue# 2 - Every time I turn on the laptop, the WI-FI bar on the main screen shows full 5 bars/connected but I can't access any websites. When I troubleshoot it, it says "the DNS server isn't responding", however after a few minutes of just waiting it can connect to websites. It's still frustrating because before windows 8.1 update, it used to connect the second it was logged on. Now I experience general pc lag, DNS server problem, less fps in games and who knows what I will face soon.

I know both of these issues may have already been covered before but the fact that it's because OF windows 8.1 and it's a fairly new laptop I wanted to get some expert help. So can any pro's out there help me out?

Thanks a lot.
